Flu Season Alert — Get You Injection!

October 22, 2020 - Written by: Ahnyia Sanders

Don’t get the flu this season. Get the flu shot and protect yourself BEFORE the flu
season is in full swing.

During the 2017-2018 influenza season, 80,000 people in the United States died and an estimated 900,000 were hospitalized because of the flu. The flu is getting smarter and the only way to help prevent it is with the flu vaccine.

According to the Center for Disease Control, 80% of the children who died from the flu
in 2017-2018 flu season did not receive the vaccine.
You may not have to make a doctor’s appointment to get the flu shot. Researchers at
Johns Hopkins are saying that pharmacies often distribute the flu vaccine quicker and at a lower cost than primary care physicians.
